I was born and raised in Oakville and currently reside in Waterdown. After attending the University of Guelph, I started my career in sales with Chrysler just over 7 years ago.
While I have been a car enthusiast at a young age, it wasn't until I entered the automotive industry where my passion only grew. I love the idea of working in an industry that is constantly evolving, while at the same time meeting new people each day. Meet the Owner: Gord NimeckÂ
Gord was practically raised in a dealership, when from a young age he watched his father, Ed Nimeck, own and operate Raceway Chrysler, the Raceway Group's flagship store. On the weekends, Ed would take Gord into the dealership so he could begin to learn the business from the ground up - starting with sweeping the floors! Gord and his brother, Reg, both attended Northwood University where they studied Automotive Management and began their journey expanding on their father's legacy at Raceway. Eventually, forming the Raceway Automotive Group through the purchase of three additional dealerships: Galt Chrysler, Oakville Chrysler, and South Oakville Chrysler.
